The call brief: what to know before the phone rings

Generic calls get generic answers. A one-screen brief per lead makes the first thirty seconds count.

The first thirty seconds of a cold call decide whether you get the next five minutes. Opening with something specific to the prospect’s business is the difference between “who is this?” and “go on.”

What goes in a brief

  • What the company does, in one line.
  • The need they most likely have, given their size and market.
  • The opening angle — one concrete problem to ask about.
  • Anything to avoid: existing tools, recent news, sensitive topics.

Keep it to one screen

A brief is not a research report. If the agent needs to scroll, the brief is too long. Atomicia builds one for every lead during processing, so every call starts with context.

“Relevance earns the second sentence.”
